Green Liberty PAC forms the vanguard of a national movement for the liberation of citizens from the oligarchic domination of our society by corporations and banks. We welcome you to join us, to participate in a historic effort to rebuild our nation from the bottom up by forming intellectually and economically self-sufficient communities that will allow us to fulfill our human potential independent of the predations of the rich and powerful.  

Green Liberty reaches out to all who are lost or threatened, impoverished or indebted, promising a substantial liberation coalition that will serve as the backbone for a mass movement of the scale, the intensity, and the spiritual and intellectual rigor necessary to transform our society.

Green Liberty breaks decisively with the false concept of politics that is promoted by the corrupt media wherein “we the people” have only a role as observers and have no choice but to send money to politicians who will never meet with us, or truly represent us, who will only occasionally shower us with crumbs and slick speeches written up by PR firms that promise everything but deliver nothing.

The media, controlled by a handful of powerful corporations, works hard to convince us that we must seek out magicians to solve our problems for us. Green liberty says we must build a better society with our own hands. There is no road to good government except that which we lay down in our own communities by with our own hands.

Green Liberty will create citizens’ journalism that can replace the media swamp, provide real political meetings for all citizens, and promote honest education for ordinary people that will help them to understand the reality behind the lies and to organize effectively to overturn the corrupt political order we face. 

Green Liberty asks you to join us a struggle to transform the United States. Your donations are welcome, but your ideas, your labors, your personal commitment are far more important for us.

Green Liberty will never judge your value as a citizen, as a member, on the basis of how much money you can contribute. There are so many ways you can help us in this struggle for freedom and equality.

Your efforts will form the sinews which bind citizens to a government which is accountable. Green Liberty will create neighborhood organizations that are democratic and participatory and can support a representative democracy for the nation.

Whether it is the sprawling prisons filled with the innocent, the decaying infrastructure that condemns our children to despair, or the promulgation of a culture of consumption and indulgence that has destroyed the virtues of frugality, modesty and humility, we have much work do to.

This republic should function like a delicate clock, responding predictably to the needs of citizens. But what do we do if the clock’s fan fly is gummed up with muck, if its escape wheel is fractured, or its hammer rod is warped?

Do we leave the clock alone, knowing that it will eventually come to an irreparable stop? Or do we clean the entirety from head to toe, repairing and improving?

Green Liberty is preparing the means to halt the complete collapse of the republic.

Our Declaration of Independence impowers us thus:

“When it becomes painfully self-evident that a long train of abuses and usurpations are born of the pursuit of absolute despotism, it then becomes our right, and our duty, to provide new guards for the people’s future security.”

Green Liberty will “provide new guards” by restoring a discourse in politics that is honest, and we will reestablish a government that holds up an ideal, and implements that ideal. Until we do so, all promises made by politicians, whether they call themselves “conservative” or “progressive,” will not mean much.

We stand for your individual liberty as the primary guard against tyranny, but we also hold that no individual should stand alone in the fight for liberty. Green Liberty will form a political community for mutual support that places liberty in the context of justice, defends constitutional rights, and advances the fundamental values on which our nation was founded while denouncing explicitly the state crimes that have rendered our republic a decayed empire. 

Green Liberty demands that state crimes be faced, not covered up, that the victims be served with justice, not distracted and deceived. That will make our Constitution more than words on paper, make it a living compact that extends to all citizens. We will hold the hidden powers accountable, insist that the government conduct itself transparently, and expose the parasitic forces of wealth, privilege, and entitlement that have reduced our republic to a puppet show.

With your help, we can reclaim our republic from the grasp of the plutocratic oligarchy that set up a secret government on November 23, 1963, one that remains in place to this day.

Had the true leaders of the 1960s, not those in the pay of banks and corporations, people like John F Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and Robert F Kennedy, Fred Hampton, and other leaders, not been assassinated, American history might well have arced toward justice, just as Dr. King had envisioned.

That arc of towards justice was shattered and we can only rebuild it by speaking the terrible truth and thereby giving to citizens not fear, but hope, not despair, but inspiration.

Although Green Liberty PAC is a “political action committee” it is radically different than those in the business of peddling false hopes and cardboard messiahs.

Green liberty is the Statue of Liberty that holds up a torch to light the way for all who are lost in darkness, calling out, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” Green liberty is not a scam to collect money in return for false promises, but a sacred promise from one citizen to another that we will form local, self-sufficient, communities that will stand for what the green (the sustainable, the renewable and all that is in harmony with nature) and for liberty (all of our fundamental human rights) by advancing economic, intellectual and spiritual independence in every corner of the land, supporting resistance to techno-totalitarian governance, and standing with your always as you fight back against the bio-fascist control of the body, and tyrannical brainwashing of the mind. 

We will help you organize. We will welcome you to join our team for life, and we will stand with you as we build, from the ground up, the institutions necessary to take back this nation, and take back this Earth from the globalists who have falsely claimed complete possession of everything.

Activities of Green Liberty

Green Liberty takes a fundamentally different approach to its relationship with citizens than the political parties that dominate the United States today.

The rich and the multinational corporations that they control are happy to shower the political parties with money because they know that they will get value equal, or greater, than the money that they invest from the various favors the political parties will do for them.

For the average citizen, however, the only reason to donate to a political party is an abstract idealism, a belief that somehow the money you give to a politician will help to realize some ideal, or hold up some value, in concrete policy through the efforts of a political party. There is no expectation, or even hope, that the political party will offer you and your family benefits in the way that corporations and the rich get benefits from them. In fact, there is no office for the Democrats or Republicans nearby you where you can demand accountability, or ask for help. If you are foolish enough to call up these political parties, you will get a recording asking for money.

The obvious result of the privatization of political parties, which have been reduced to PR firms for the powerful, is that they offer you nothing. You cannot meet politicians, except to hear their prepared speeches. They are not interested in your ideas, but rather want to collect money from the rich in the backroom and use that money to hire advertising firms to convince you that politicians are being helpful.

Green Liberty takes an entirely different approach. Green Liberty offers services, advice, projects, and other concrete activities to citizens as part of our movement. That assures you that you are a central part of the Green Liberty movement. Your contribution will have concrete benefits for you in terms of the services and advice that we offer. Even if you have no money to give at all, your efforts will be welcome at Green Liberty, you will be appreciated and properly rewarded, for whatever efforts you make to rebuild the nation from the ground up.

We do not suck up your money for our use preparing for hyped up elections that will change nothing, but make IT contractors and PR firms rich. No! We will work together with you to completely transform the United States into an egalitarian, transparent, accountable, scientific society in which all citizens have basic rights and all children have equal opportunities.

Here are some concrete activities and strategies that Green Liberty is preparing:

Advice for organizing your community

Green Liberty will assign an expert to help you set up your own Green Liberty headquarters in your neighborhood and will supply you with the tools you need, and the resources from Green Liberty headquarters, needed to get your efforts to create an independent and self-sufficient community off the ground. We will help you build a participatory political and economic community that addresses the real needs of the citizens.

The expert adviser from Green Liberty will connect you with our team at headquarters and show you how you can set up long-term, substantial self-help and mutual-aid programs systems that will make your community independent from parasitic corporations and banks, allow your citizens to think for themselves, and act for themselves, thus establishing independent institutions that are free and egalitarian in nature.

Accountable government cannot be established in a nation suffering from this degree of cultural and ethical rot through a mere political election. We must start to build up communities, local organizations, that are democratically run, transparent and accountable, and that will serve as a model later for the rebuilding of government in the United States that is independent of corporations and banks. 

Setting up mutual support systems

Green Liberty will develop with you sophisticated mutual-aid systems between citizens wherein close relationships of trust are developed among members and combined with commitments to help out each other in all aspects of human experience. These new institutions made of people, not online computer banks, will create the equivalent of a participatory government run by the citizens that will fill the enormous vacuum in our society left by the destruction of civil society and the privatization of government.

These support systems will include pledges to help each other, systems for bartering skills and abilities, programs for pooling resources, for creating insurance plans among citizens so as to eliminate the need for private insurance companies, and setting up other exchanges covering health and nutrition, childcare, and other mutual efforts.

Forming youth corps

Green Liberty will help form youth corps that will encourage independent thinking and mutual aid among youth to replace the sickly narcissistic and passive attitudes promoted by multinational corporations through the games, videos, songs, and pornography that bombard our youth today. Youth corps will denounce the narcissism and indulgence, the worship of the rich and powerful, that is promoted in corporate-packaged youth culture, and rather encourage youth to pledge to help each other for a lifetime, encouraging ethical commitment, wisdom and charity, concern for family and community, and moral bravery. By inculcating scientific thinking and moral reasoning among youth, the Green Liberty youth corps will transform our society.

Educational programs for citizens

Green Liberty will offer educational programs at the local level, and online, that help citizens to understand how our society actually functions—as opposed to the lies and myths perpetuated by the commercial media.

Citizens will learn how banks actually work, how the government is administrated and who makes the real decisions (and how), the nature of money and stock, and what is necessary to live a healthy and meaningful life. Education programs will include programs teaching you how to care for your health, eat healthy food, make your own furniture, food, clothes and tools, and otherwise how to realize self-sufficiency and freedom. Citizen’s education will also provide citizens with basic scientific facts about the world that are ignored by most of the media and education.

Most importantly, Green Liberty education assumes that all citizens are capable of understanding how the world actually works and that such knowledge is critical for all of us finding a way to overcome the long arm of corporations that reaches deep into our lives.

Regular talks for citizens to explain economics, politics, society and international relations

Green Liberty members, including local community members, Green Liberty representatives and experts will offer regular talks for citizens that explain important economic, social and political issues of the current moment in a clear manner and that provide an understanding how the system really works. Citizens will be given the chance to engage in a serious debate about what needs to be done, and make plans for implementation.  

Setting up barter and local currency programs for the community

Green Liberty will help your community to set up a barter system (one that can employ a local currency) which allows citizens to exchange their skills and abilities, assets and products, for items of equal value without having to work through banks or corporations. Such a barter economy, undergirded by basic values of honesty and decency, thrift and diligence, will bring true economic independence, create real jobs at the local level and eliminate dependency on multinational banks and corporations who currently suck wealth from the community like vampires at every turn. If barter systems are combined with local organic farming, and the creation of furniture and other household goods at the local level, they can establish true economic autonomy which is the foundation of liberty.

These efforts can be made into credit associations and citizen’s banks that provide real money and honest loans—with zero money going to multinational parasite banks. Because the currencies employed in barter systems are rooted in real goods and services, and limited in use to members of the community, they will not suffer from inflation and will be far more reliable than national debt currencies controlled by banks,

Sharing of resources and tools

At the same time that Green Liberty helps you set up a barter system, we will also help you to share resources and tools so that citizens do not need to sink too much money into automobiles, tools, computers, even washing machines and tents, items that we can easily share with neighbors through mutual support systems. Such sharing of resources can dramatically reduce the expenses for individuals and families, promoting greater independence. 

Creating local newspapers

The massive consolidation of journalism under the control of global finance has destroyed all sources of reliable local information, making citizens dependent on corporate media that is designed to make people stupid and to mislead and confuse. Green Liberty will help you to set up your own effective local newspapers, in paper and online, that will give accurate journalism and scientific analysis of international and national issues while providing honest and blunt information about who owns what, what decisions in your community are made behind your back by the rich and powerful, and how those decisions impact the economy and the politics of your local community.

Green Liberty will teach you how to be a reporter, how to derive steady income from investigative journalism, how to set up, once again, rigorous independent newspapers at the local level, and how to extend your search for truth and morality to all members of your community and to take down the fake corporate pigs who try to drown citizens in trash.

Forming a “constitutional government” in your community

Most local governments in the United States are run as dictatorships by the political parties and corporations using backroom deals between a tiny handful of local players. Democracy and government policy has become a marionette show for the public, not a reality. Green Liberty will help you to set up your own “constitutional government” in your neighborhood made up of citizens who agree to uphold the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and to organize to challenge every single effort by government agencies, corporations, and banks to engage in activities that are unconstitutional, illegal or immoral.

The local “constitutional government” will legally assume its authority from the Constitution, and will not hesitate to demand the end of unconstitutional policies, the resignation, or arrest of anyone, no matter how prominent, who is engaged in illegal or unconstitutional activities. Local constitutional governments have a legal and constitutional authority that corrupt and unconstitutional “public-private partnerships” and their illegal guidelines and directives will never have.

The constitutional governments established by Green Liberty will be the front line where citizens will take a stand against institutionalized criminality and make it clear to the world that blatantly illegal practices such as the deployment of 5G facilities, the dumping of chemicals in the water or air, the privatization of government services, influence peddling by lobbyists in government, and the control and manipulation of citizens by private security firms, multinational IT and intelligence firms, will not be tolerated.

Constitutional governments will win over citizens to scientific and rational thinking, taking power away from the fraudulent corporate systems designed to mislead and distract.

They will patiently explain to citizens the truth that less technology is better, advertising designed to manipulate the public is immoral, and that there is no scientific basis for the push for growth, consumption, and the rising stock market as an indication of economic health. They will demonstrate why computers and smart phones can be destructive to human society, why written documents are better than computer files, why the waste of resources is unethical—even if it supposedly brings mythical “growth,” and how city planning focused on automobiles is discriminatory and helps the rich at the expense of the poor.

Advocating for policy, supporting political candidates, and working with political parties

Although the current political and administrative system is so deeply corrupt as to be practically beyond redemption, Green Liberty will advocate, to the degree that it is possible, for policies that are healthy and good for the people, support politicians who hold up ideals, and policies, we can support, and even work with political parties, at some future date, if their actions are in accord with our goals.

Green Liberty will have to make comprises and build coalitions as part of the process of getting the United States back on track, but our goal is to appeal to the better angels of all, and demand the highest standards from all, rather than selling our souls in the hope of achieving power or fame.

National Level

Green Liberty will hold national conferences of local chapters to compare best practices and coordinate policies. We will advocate at the local level for national policies that support publicly owned means of communications, travel, distribution and logistics, and that establish a scientific and democratic platform for the formulation and enactment of policy that is for the people and that does not include any corporations or banks.

International Level

Once Green Liberty has properly established itself at the local and national level in the United States, we will reach out to similar efforts around the world to set up transparent, accountable and democratic local communities. We hope that exchanges of citizens (and youth especially), comparison of best practices, and other international dialogues will be of mutual benefit and will create the infrastructure for transparent and democratic approaches to international, not globalist, forms of Earth government.

President Biden rushed to Israel to give his blessings, and the blessings of the United States, and of anyone else so foolish to join the parade, to whatever Israel and the United States may do after the more than a little ambiguous attacks of Hamas. President Biden declared, unambiguously stated, that Hamas had “unleashed pure unadulterated evil on the world.” He was repeating a script that someone on his staff had handed him, and he did so without any feelings or insights, just playing the role assigned to him by the rich and powerful as a pathetically broken man in a hopelessly broken system.

One must ask whether President Biden would know what evil is if it was wrapped around his neck, if it was hugging him like a brother, or if it looked him in the eyes from the other side of the mirror. 

The cynicism with which Biden’s handlers throw around that word “evil” should not blind us to the blight wrought by something horrible that we see all around us; whether it is mothers caring for their sons gone blind from vaccines in Atlanta, or fathers carrying their crumpled daughter’s bodies wrapped in cardboard in Gaza. 

President Biden’s speech was a fraud, but “evil” is no fraud.

Although my focus must fall, perforce, on policy, and I should leave debates on evil to learned professors of philosophy or men and women of the faith, nevertheless I feel compelled to speak out today about evil because our failure to understand the nature of evil will be our undoing. If we fail to grasp evil in its true nature, we may well roll blindly into a world war over the next month that will leave hundreds of millions dead. There is not much time and there is no time for self-deception, for self-indulgence.

Evil is real and it is not limited to the teachings of religious scriptures.

Evil is rarely an ugly monster that terrifies children with sharp claws and jagged fangs like Godzilla tearing through Tokyo.

No, evil is often seductive, attractive, and even enticing, leading us to accept it as a friend, an ally, because it flatters us and makes us feel more important than others, because it whispers in our ears that it is okay to do terrible things as long as no one else knows what we have done. 

Evil is invisible; it morphs into one form, and then into another, taking on the attributes that we most desire and then vanishing suddenly, mysteriously, leaving us wondering why we have so much blood on our hands.

Although Hollywood movies suggest that evil is perpetrated by some brilliant genius behind the curtains, more often than not the origins of evil are banal and ordinary, something mentioned in passing at a backyard barbeque. Original acts of evil do not draw attention to themselves at all and therefore are easily passed over without comment.

That is the threat of a banal and undetectable evil that Hannah Arendt described thus:

“Evil is never ‘radical;’ it is only extreme. It possesses neither depth nor any demonic dimension. It can overgrow and lay waste the whole world precisely because it spreads like a fungus on the surface. Evil defies thought because when thought tries to go to the roots of evil, it is frustrated, finding nothing there. That is the ‘banality’ of evil.”

I am struggling to uncover the nature of evil because it threatens us Americans from within.

I am forced to recognize that I do not have to go to Gaza to find evil. No, I do not even need to go beyond the beltway—in fact, I do not even need to leave my comfortable living room and wide-angle TV.

As I watched President Biden there speaking in Israel, I felt as if he was animated by some power beyond himself, and beyond his staff, beyond even his political party. Something was sloughing to Jerusalem to be born in the backrooms of private intelligence firms and weapons contractors hidden behind the Stars and Stripes and the Star of David that adorned the stage.

When President Biden stated,

“I come to Israel with a single message: You are not alone. … As long as the United States stands … we’re going to stand by your side.”

He was suggesting that some horrific war has already been decided by those hidden powers and now it is time for Arabs, and Jews as well, and Americans, to die in large numbers. If it means the end of Israel and the United States, he hints, so be it. “As long at the United States stands” means “until the United States is destroyed.”

When President Biden stated that,

“If Israel didn’t exist, we would have to invent it.”

The investment banks who have made a fortune by using Israel and its security forces, and security IT, to intimidate others and to increase their profits, they most certainly knew what he meant. For, without doubt, the banks will have to invent a new Israel to do their bidding if this one is destroyed by this apocalypse they have planned out.

But perhaps the most disturbing part of the speech came after Biden said that this was not just “Israel’s 9.11,” it was “fifteen 9.11s.” Most people already know, even if they cannot come out and admit it, that 9.11 was the global military-intelligence-finance complex declaring war on the citizens of the Earth. To think that this is now going to be 15 times the millions killed in blind wars for profit is truly frightening.

Yes, one can almost sense that evil is lurking somewhere there in the corners of Biden’s forced smile. 

And then President Biden described the Israeli response to this “9.11 of their own,” saying,

“I am sure those horrors have tapped into some kind of primal feeling, shock, pain, rage, an all-consuming rage—justice must be done.”

That is to say that an “all-consuming rage” that banishes reason, and stops dead the search for truth, must be the only response possible to this still ambiguous event. That “all-consuming rage” that the commercial media keeps harping on is precisely the door through which the darkest evil can pass unnoticed.

It could be a catastrophic war with Iran　is coming, as Biden implied when he mentioned the movement of military assets such as the USS Ford carrier strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean, to be joined by the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower.

Most certainly these massive clusters of weapons are not meant to attack the impoverished people huddled in Gaza. They are meant to start bombing Iran at any moment.

The more I thought about this terrible turn of events, the more I was drawn back to the elegant speech that Reverand Martin Luther King delivered on April 4, 1968, exactly one year before he was assassinated, one of the most powerful speeches delivered in American history.

When Dr. King delivered the speech “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence” at

Riverside Church in New York City, he revealed to all the true form of a thoughtful and committed man of God who had wrestled with evil, tried to make a deal with lesser evils, and then was forced to come to the painful conclusion that it was his moral duty to break his studied silence about that project of death because it had infected every corner of American society.

Dr. King used the expression “Beyond Vietnam” because he knew that the illness was a spiritual one and it went far beyond the specifics of Vietnam. He did not want to get lost in the details. He spoke to the point,

“The war in Vietnam is but a symptom of a far deeper malady within the American spirit, and if we ignore this sobering reality we will find ourselves organizing “clergy- and laymen-concerned committees” for the next generation.”

“The words of the late John F. Kennedy come back to haunt us. Five years ago he said, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

“Increasingly, by choice or by accident, this is the role our nation has taken — the role of those who make peaceful revolution impossible by refusing to give up the privileges and the pleasures that come from the immense profits of overseas investment.

I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values.

We must rapidly begin the shift from a ‘thing-oriented’ society to a ‘person-oriented’ society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered.”

“A true revolution of values will look uneasily on the glaring contrast of poverty and wealth. With righteous indignation, it will look across the seas and see individual capitalists of the West investing huge sums of money in Asia, Africa and South America, only to take the profits out with no concern for the social betterment of the countries, and say: ‘This is not just.’”

I had the arrogance and the self-conceit, the confidence and the craftiness to imagine myself as a president. And yet, heeding Dr. King’s words, I must say as that as I witnessed President Biden invoking a new world war like a vengeful god, I felt that must also say, and say loudly and clearly, that this, my brothers and sisters, this is not just. We are opening the doors for untold evil to spill out over the world, and the cynical backroom boys are betting that we will convince ourselves that because we were not directly involved in this first step of the war, therefore somehow we think that we are not responsible.

Sadly, history will judge us quite differently.

鲜血汇聚而成的河流与一堆堆残垣断瓦昭示着巴勒斯坦和以色列共同受到的创伤——两地水土相同，且都住着人，普普通通的人。这样的创伤是一场地下战争留下的痕迹。这是一场由犹太人、阿拉伯人和诸多秘密团体参与其中的战争，是一场对今日世界构成了威胁的战争——相似的一幕曾经在1914年奥匈帝国的斐迪南大公遇刺时上演过。

众多以色列人在侵袭中丧生，又有更多的巴勒斯坦人殒命。几天后，一众政客开始发表言论，但他们始终没有告诉诸位，我们应当在确保了解事情的来龙去脉之后再采取行动，应该在弄清楚真正的敌人是谁之后再挥舞利剑。

一旦以色列国防军开始采取手段令加沙地区的穷苦人民饥困而亡，理性与明智的政策便再没有回头的余地——这一点他们心知肚明。届时我们要面对的，是一场我们绝不愿意经历的恐怖战争。这便全部问题的重点所在。在令被围困在贫民区内的数百万人消失无踪、或者遭遇其他祸殃之后，一切事情，一切可怕的事情都有可能发生。

首先我要声明，我并不知晓究竟发生了什么。因此我领先于那些信口雌黄媒体专家、政客和政府代表几光年之远——他们以新闻、各方情报和传言为信息来源，自认为无所不知，然而二十三年以来，上述消息源几乎在任何事情上都极不可靠。

形势所迫，我们只能猜测幕后之事。在这里，我要本着好意、以科学方法开展推测，同时请诸位指出我的不足之处。我们时间有限，不能再等上五十年，待所有机密文件被公之于众。

首先，这场被归咎于哈马斯的侵袭，就其规模和强度而言，是不可能在以色列国防军毫不知情的情况下发动的。要知道，以色列国防军向被其所占领土上的线人支付了数百万美元，更为传感器、无人机、卫星和世界上最为先进的监视技术斥下了数百亿美元的巨资——这些设备与技术的部分研发资金是由美国纳税人提供的。

我们还知道，以色列总理内塔尼亚胡在广大犹太人口中民望极低。众多犹太人因其腐败大为不满，并因他对犹太工人的残酷压迫而发起过大规模抗议活动。

以色列军方和情报部门中有人明确表示了自己对内塔尼亚胡的反对，并且表明他们不会容忍此人攫取对政府司法部门的控制权、从而掌管全国——这次休克主义袭击之后，他正是在以此为目的而上下其手。

要跟哈马斯搞暧昧，还有比现在更合适的时机吗？更何况哈马斯早就同以色列军方的腐败分子勾结，制造出导致战争的祸端。

这不仅仅是以色列一方的“9·11”事件。

然而这只是开始。如今美国已经完全投身于这场针对哈马斯的战争。拜登总统称哈马斯为“纯粹、彻底的邪恶”，由此我们可以感觉到，一扇大门应声而开，更为严峻、可怕的危机即将从其而入。

我们知道，纳粹党也把“纯粹、彻底的邪恶”之类的词语用在了犹太人的身上，随后后者便被剥夺了公民权、关进了集中营，遭受了灭顶之灾。

以色列人将在所有主要工业国家政府的支持下让生活潦倒的巴勒斯坦人断水、断粮、断电，同时把他们的公寓楼炸成碎片、将他们赶入大海——事情还不仅于此。

一场针对伊朗的战争呼之欲出。我们只需要看看CNN的头条新闻怎样叫嚣伊朗也参与了此次巴以冲突便可了解到这一点——至于以色列，他们当然避而不提。9·11事件后，针对基地组织的证据贸然出现，这缺失的一环也会如此。

伊朗一向不吝于表示对哈马斯的支持，因此一场对伊战争会顺理成章地展开，让他们精心部署的对俄、对伊大战成为现实。而这场战争又会把北约，以及在过去几年的国际外交嘉年华中同美国乃至北约签署了情报分享与军事合作秘密协议的所有国家都拖入战火。

这条为每一“西方”国家打造的、不必负责的、已经外包给亚马逊、谷歌、脸书等IT私企的军队指挥链，其成型过程与相关方面在发起第一次世界大战时所采用的模式如出一辙。

斐迪南大公遇刺之后，英、法、俄三国便马上展开战争计划，片刻都没有耽搁，就好像它们的各位政客与将军都已被预先设定好程序的机器取而代之。世界后来才会明白，这三个国家签署了一系列秘密条约，早已决定否决一切有关军事行动的国家辩论，以使世界大战成为可能。

诸位或许会发自内心地问，谁会希望世界大战降临，让难以计数的人丧命，甚至令地球上的所有生灵面临在核浩劫中毁灭的威胁呢？

你也许会以为只有得了精神病的人才会有此愿望。

哈，事情就麻烦在这里。喏，当今统治世界的，正是一群精神病患者。

世界大战在招致大规模屠杀和灾难之前，会把两件珍贵的礼物送到那些非富即贵的精神病患者手中。

首先，世界大战可以巩固国家权力，同时将新的权力赋予疾病控制中心、哈佛大学、《纽约时报》等名誉扫地的腐败机构——正是它们把人类拖入了新冠骗局的泥潭，让人们经历全球金融对社会的控制性破坏。煽风点火、让地区升级为世界大战也许是内塔尼亚胡和拜登政府目前能够采取的唯一举措。

其次，强劲消费与巨大需求会因世界大战而生。对数百万人展开屠杀，需要各企业供应大量军火、燃料和其他产品，同时也让它们拥有了夺取金融、生产和分配控制权的理由。

自恋消费文化的深层矛盾，以及以此为源头、因系统性生产过剩而导致的各种危险都可被战争所掩盖——至少在短时间内不为人所知。

在那些鼠目寸光的政客看来，这场战争规模越大、破坏性越强越好。

以色列政府已经被操纵在超级富豪手中，美国、俄罗斯、中国、德国，甚至伊朗也是如此。他们谋划掀起文化、种族之战，目的是遮掩少数人与广大民众之间的、更具系统性的、覆盖全球的阶级斗争。

我刚才是不是提到过富豪们都是精神病患者？

为了保护自己，自己的不义之财——我的意思是财产，他们甘愿承担任何风险，尤其是在有人愿意赴死的情况之下。

现在我们来谈一谈以色列与美国之间极其特殊的关系。

我们如果想要从世界大战的悬崖边上回头，首先必须切实明确关于以色列的是是非非，以及这个国家是如何莫名其妙地跟美国产生乱七八糟的矛盾关系的。

以色列和美国有许多共同之处，或许这就是二者以奇怪方式联系在一起的原因之一。

自从19世纪90年代开始，尤其在20世纪30年代，巴勒斯坦成为了欧洲犹太人心中的避难所。这些犹太人遭受强烈歧视与可怕暴力已达几个世纪之久。位于巴勒斯坦的犹太人定居点后来为那些被囚禁在聚居区，驱逐至集中营，强塞入火车、前往死亡集中营的犹太人带来了希望。

第二次世界大战之后，以色列得以建国。在那些幸免于难的犹太人心中，这里是他们的希望之地。他们认为这里与动不动便会遭到无情清理的东欧犹太人聚居区不同，自己完全可以捍卫它。

然而这片家园既非凭空出现之地，也不是上帝赠予犹太人的礼物。几千年以来，犹太人一直在这里拥有自己的王国。没错，以色列这一“国家”与大英帝国的利益，以及其他性质互不相同的缘由息息相关。

没错，这片土地是从在那里居住了几个世纪的巴勒斯坦人手中夺去的。被犹太定居者赶出家园的，正是巴勒斯坦人——正如当初犹太人被德国人、波兰人和乌克兰人逼得流离失所一样。

新建的以色列与经历过波兰和苏俄集中营屠杀、免于一死、心有戚戚的犹太人之间达成承诺，要让那里的巴勒斯坦人经历犹太人曾经的遭遇，彻底消失。

这是一桩无可抹除的罪恶——犹太人此后费尽心血也未能擦去这个污点。

也有大批犹太人前往美国，并且在这里发现了在欧洲未能找到的机会与光明前景——毕竟后者对犹太人敌意至深。

在这里我要赘述几句。我父亲一脉便是犹太人，他们来到美国时一无所有。他们早先在布达佩斯郊外的村庄居住，后来那里在大屠杀期间惨遭摧毁，现在已不复存在。他们在这里找到了巨大机遇。美国的这一悲剧与中东，与以色列有所关联，也与我本人有直接关系——即使我从未踏上过以色列的土地。

80年以来，美国与以色列之间产生了一种怪异的关系。这种关系暧昧不明，没有法律上的定义，又与早年间大英帝国留下的阴影密切相关——大英帝国的触手早已深入这两个国家，情况在二战时期更甚。

谈到以色列，就不能不提及一种“蛛网”——潜藏在大英帝国遗迹之中的金融网络。以色列在巴勒斯坦境内建国，其实是大英帝国旨在将其势力扩展至中东、攫取石油的一项实验。

我们应当把以色列视为与英属维尔京群岛、开曼群岛、百慕大群岛以及其他前英属殖民地类似的地方。这些地方已经变成了多家自称为“美国企业”的跨国公司藏匿财产、进行暗中清偿之地，最终成为了它们在其上不必缴税、不必担负责任的乐土。

大屠杀的幸存者们兢兢业业地努力，要在以色列开启新的生活；然而与此同时，这里也悄悄地变成了一张由金钱、情报和权贵们的专属特殊服务交织而成的蛛网。

随着美国与以色列少数人的财富与日俱增、两国军队在经济中所占的比重日益扩大，一种全新层次、超出人们想象的腐败扎下根来，深入骨髓。

美国和以色列最终在军事与情报方面建立了最为密切的联系，然而却没有任何正式条约来定义这种联盟关系。不论是在美国国会大厦还是在以色列议会中，这一特殊关系都无处可查。

没错，此类联盟的核心是军事承包商之间、情报分包商之间、与两国乃至伦敦均有联系的金融机构之间等方面的非正常关系。这些关系通常由极其富有者控制，秘不示人。

大笔据说是用于捍卫以色列的钱款在这张军事承包商的蛛网中，在美、以两国的视线之外流动——或许事实并非如此？毕竟没有人能够弄清楚这笔钱去向何方。

这种不断加深的腐败，这条流淌于美、以两国地下的肮脏河流催生出制度性腐败，让9·11事件成为了可能。

随后，美国、以色列和其他地方的黑暗势力于2001年、布什政府时期制造出一场危机，将公众的目光从国内腐败问题转移开，又发动了一场延续20余年的全球性战争，分散全世界的注意力。

9·11事件被归咎于伊斯兰群体，且被用作向众多与所谓的“恐怖主义”关联甚少甚至无所关联的国家发动战争的借口。

亿万富豪把以色列和美国当作玩物，利用两国的军队、经济和技术来推进掌控世界这一计划。

美以关系的隐蔽性为他们的准备工作提供了完美条件。

这个非正式联盟是在人们的视线之外、在暗中为全球金融占领世界制定计划的最佳场所。

以色列在其所占领土上开发的监视、控制技术的商业化及其在世界范围内的应用是上述行动的隐秘一环，不可小觑。

就在以色列国防军准备将加沙夷为平地之时，美国、欧盟与其他许多国家竟然采取激进政策，限制互联网言论自由。这绝非偶然——网络正是这一军事计划的软肋所在。

以色列在监视跟踪、互联网管控和心理控制方面的专业技术已经被私有化、卖给世界各地的企业，让它们用之以跟踪、操纵美国、中国、德国、俄罗斯等国家的民众——哪里使用由以色列IT与情报公司所控制的专门技术，哪里便几乎不可能幸免。

上述势力同以色列的犹太劳动者毫无关联，但跟嵌在蛛网之内的以色列休戚相关。这群人还接管了美国各地地方政府的IT职能，并且正在为将警察职能外包给不负责任的势力方提供越来越多的空间。

美墨边境、底特律市中心……美国正在步步沦陷。说以色列占领美国并不准确，但有人正在把以色列当作门户与工具，用之以加强各大企业对我们的控制。

最后，我们必须认识到，在这一旨在控制全球的计划开始分崩离析之时，权贵们会迅速发起“谴责犹太人”运动，重演20世纪30年代的那一幕。届时他们会将金融崩溃归咎于以色列与饱受诋毁的犹太人。请诸位不要再欺骗自己。

如果现在内塔尼亚胡称巴勒斯坦人为“野兽”，那么美国和欧洲未来的政客便会毫不犹疑地用相似的词语来指代犹太人，以避免蛛网经济背后真正的黑手暴露于光天化日之下——这张“网”已在大英帝国肮脏的余烬中铺展开来。

因此我们走到了今天。我们看到，当时眼见德国人与波兰人狂呼大吼要消灭他们的犹太人有了自己的孩子。这群犹太幸存者的后代在做什么？他们成了黑暗势力的同谋，计划将加沙地带的巴勒斯坦人清除得干干净净。受害者如今变成了加害之人，真是可怕。

我们又做了什么？

美国政府大厅之中没有人敢承认此次以色列遭受的侵袭是由一群心急如焚的以色列富豪策划的、或者恰好在他们的计划当中；其目的是确保他们的腐败政府继续掌权。然而，这一禁忌的真相在美国政府人人皆知，这群人只是没有勇气把它说出口。

没有人敢承认这场“夷平沙加”行动的最终目的是点燃对伊战争的导火索，从而让对俄战争乃至世界大战无可避免。

华盛顿的每个人都清楚这一内情及其背后的原因。

那群人在政府大厅中正襟危坐，道貌岸然、装腔作势，一遍又一遍地讲着故事、神话，重复着陈词滥调。其实他们已经通过一面镜子隐隐约约地知道不同寻常之事正在发生，知道地狱之门已经大敞四开，哪怕这几扇门已被人装饰得华丽璀璨，看起来不那么危险。

这个时代，我们正在与怪物同行。

我们的出路何在？只有一条——和平。然而，必须是真正的和平，发自于内心的和平，植根于道德和正义的和平。如今没有哪场骗局能够带给我们这种和平。

解决之道何在？只有一个。这种灵魂上的坏疽只有一种药可以治疗。这是一种我们不愿意服下、奇苦无比，然而可以通窍补虚的猛药：真相。

미국 녹색당의 유력 후보는 왜 불과 17일 만에 사퇴했을까?

미국 녹색당 대선 후보 임마누엘 페스트라이쉬(한국명:이만열) 박사의 짧은 후보 출마와 사퇴는 역사적인 사건으로 녹색당 내의 부패와 조직적 문제를 뒷받침하고 있다. 그는 강력한 정치적 진실 및 경제 정책 제안으로 관심을 끌었지만 자금 모금과 미디어 지원 부족으로 후보직을 유지하지 못했다. 이 사건은 녹색당 내에서 녹색 정책과 실체가 있는 진실 정치를 실현하기 위한 변화를 어떻게 이루어낼지에 대한 질문을 제기하고 있다.

페스트라이쉬는 1964년 10월 16일, 미국 테네시주 내슈빌에서 출생했고 하버드 대학교, 예일 대학교, 동경 대학교에서 공부했다. 그는 한국에서 지난 13년 동안 한국 전통문화 전문가로 활동했다. 또한 경희대학교 교수로 재직(2011-2017)하는 동안 “한국인만 모르는 다른 대한민국” 등 베스트셀러 서적을 다수 출판했다. 페스트라이쉬는 현재 한국과 미국의 복수국적을 갖고 있으며 워싱턴 DC, 도쿄, 서울, 하노이에 사무실을 둔 싱크탱크인 아시아 연구소의 이사장직을 맡고 있다.–Ed.

나는 녹색당(Green Party)에 대통령 후보로 적합한 인물이 없다는 불평을 들을 때마다 녹색당 후보로 미연방선거관리위원회(FEC)에 등록했고, 금융에서 환경까지, 고용부터 전쟁추진에 이르기까지 가장 심대한 논쟁점들을 정면으로 다루기 위한 사려 깊은 제안들을 제시하는 일련의 강력한 연설을 했던 그러한 후보자가 있었다는 것을 알게하고 싶어졌다

그 대담한 행보를 보인 주인공은 바로 임마누엘 페스트라이쉬(이만열) 박사다. 하지만 그 후보자인 임마누엘 페스트라이쉬는 녹색당 내에서 가장 기본적인 자금마저 조달할 수 없었고 소위 대안 미디어들조차 외면했기 때문에 단지 17일만에 대선 경주에서 철수해야만 했다.

그 당시에 녹색당에 코넬 웨스트(Cornel West)의 강력한 경쟁자로 페스트라이쉬가 등장했음에도 불구하고 녹색당이 침묵을 지킨 것은 “녹색당의 부패한 지도부 제거를 위한 청원”에서 제기한것처럼 제도화된 조직적 부패가 존재한다는 것을 시사한다.

코로나19 팬데믹, 9·11 테러, 글로벌 금융의 경제 지배 등 심각한 이슈를 다루는 녹색당 전당대회 연설 시리즈 중 첫번째 연설을 맡은 페스트라이쉬는 차분하고 이성적인 태도로 구체적인 해결책을 제시하며 강연을 시작하자 많은 사람들이 흥분했다.

그러나 페스트라이쉬의 합리적인 접근 방식과 구체적인 해결책을 둘러싼 초기 열기는 금새 사그라들었다. 페스트라이쉬가 대통령 후보 출마에 대해 6개의 미디어에 연락을 취했을때, 코넬 웨스트와 경쟁하는 이 도전자를 기꺼이 인터뷰에 응한 곳은 TNT 라디오의 “허보예 모리치 쇼 (Hrvoje Moricich Show)”가 유일했다. 

녹색당 의원들이  페스트라이쉬가 녹색당에 출마할 수 있는 기반을 마련하기 위해 몇 달 동안 고군분투하는 동안, 코로나 정권을 감히 비판하지 않았던 민주당 내부인사인 파우치(Fauci)를 찬양하는 것으로 유명한 웨스트 교수는 첫날부터 후보로 지명되었고 그를 인터뷰한 모든 언론 매체로 부터 사실상 내정된 후보자 취급을 받았다.

사실 나는 녹색당이 무소속으로 출마헌 페스트라이쉬나 로버트 케네디(Robert Kennedy)를 고려할 수 있다고 처음 제안했을 때 녹색당 내부 대의원 토론 명단에 등재되는 불이익을 받았다. 웨스트가 6월 5일에는 먼저 인민당(People’s Party) 후보로 출마하겠다고 선언했다가 6월 15일에 갑자기 녹색당 당원들과 만나보지도 않은 채 녹색당 후보로 선언했다는 사실은 신경쓰지 마시라.  전 녹색당 후보였던 질 스타인(Jill Stein)이 2016년에 민주당 후보인 버니 샌더스(Bernie Sanders)에게 자신의 녹색당 후보로 출마해 달라고 간청하며 뛰어다녔다는 사실은 염두해 두지 마시라.

웨스트는 수많은 인터뷰에서 제국주의의 위협에 대해 명료하게 언급하며 다른 후보들과 차별화되는 모습을 보였다. 그러나 그는 9월 7일 지미 도어(Jimmy Dore) 쇼에서 코로나19 백신의 위험성을 경시하고 팬데믹이 자신의 우선순위 중 하나가 아니라고 발언해 논란에 휩싸였다.

웨스트의 캠페인은 코로나19 사기 문제를 심각하게 받아들이기 보다는 ‘진실과 정의’ 콘텐츠를 줄이기로 결정하고, 질 스타인(Jill Stein) 대신 힐러리 클린턴을 충성스럽게 보좌했던 민주당 내부자 피터 다우(Peter Daou)로 교체하기로 결정했다

녹색당에는 여전히 강력한 진실 정치 세력이 남아 있지만, 소통의 길을 통제하는 사람들은 9·11 테러의 숨겨진 진실, 코로나19의 진실, 연방준비제도(Fed)와 관련된 진실을 열정적으로 요구하는 페스트라이쉬 후보가 존재하지 않는 것처럼 행동했다.

미국 녹색당은 공식 보고서가 사실이 아니라는 이유로 9.11 진상 규명을 촉구하는 강령을 내세웠지만 녹색당 지도부는 국가 범죄를 규탄하는데는 침묵으로 일관하고 있다. 현실은 ‘좌파’ 녹색당 내부에서는 9·11 테러에 대한 의문을 제기하는것이 음모론으로 매도돼 중요한 사안에 대한 진지한 토론을 억압하므로써 흐지부지되고 있는 게 현실이다.

녹색당과 특히 페스트라이쉬를 무시하려는 웨스트의 노력은 웨스트가 “The Bottom Line”(2023년 6월 22일)에서 Steve Clemons에게 말한 내용인 “ 한편으로는 민주주의에 헌신해야 할 사람들이 다양한 목소리, 특히 그러한 목소리가 부당한 현상 유지에 대해 매우 비판적일 때에 이를 배제하는 데 관심이 많다는 것이 나의 마음을 사로잡는다.”를 고려한다면 약간은 아이러니해 보입니다.

녹색당과 특히 웨스트가 페스트라이쉬를 무시하려는 노력은 “The Bottom Line” (June 22, 2023): 에서 스티브 클레먼스(Steve Clemons)에게 한 웨스트의 말을 생각하면 다소 아이러니해 보인다. 한편으로는 민주주의를 위해 헌신해야 할 사람들이 다양한 목소리를 배제하는데, 특히 그 목소리가 부당한 현상 유지에 대해 매우 비판적일 때 그 실체를 배제하는데 관심이 많다는 것은 나에게 매우 흥미로운 일이다.

녹색당 내에서 자금을 조달할 수 없었고 정당의 엘리트와 대안 언론 모두로부터 외면당한 페스트라이쉬는 9월 28일 탈퇴하기로 결정했다.

페스트라이쉬는 녹색당 출마 중단에 관한 공개 성명에서 “저는 녹색당이 미국 진보 정치의 전통을 되살리고, 우리 헌법의 잠재력을 최대한 실현하며, 자유와 평등의 횃불을 계승할 것을 촉구합니다. 저는 녹색당이 거대한 거짓을 고발하고, 예외 없이 정의와 투명성을 위해 싸우며, 오랫동안 억압받아온 사람들에게 진정한 기회를 줄 것을 요구합니다… 우리는 1960년대 끔찍한 정치적 학살로 진흙탕에 떨어진 진실과 정의의 깃발을 다시 들어 올릴 녹색당이 필요합니다. 다시 말해, 우리는 어두운 돈을 모으기 위해 허리를 굽히는 것이 아니라 도덕적 원칙을 옹호함으로써 승리 할 녹색당이 필요합니다.” 라고 강조했다.

나는 페스트라이쉬로부터 정치적 진실성을 옹호하는 강력한 모습을 발견했다. 그는 우리의 민주주의와 공화국에 대한 통합성을 회복하는 것을 상징하고, 미국을 생태학적 파멸과 심각한 계급 분열로 몰아넣은 권력 엘리트들에게 책임을 요구하는 것을 주장한다.

나는 2008년 신시아 매키니(Cynthia McKinney)가 내건 진실정치의 깃발을 그가 차지할 것이라는 것을 알고 그를 대통령 후보로 지명하기 위해 녹색당에서 주도적으로 추진했다

그러나, 이러한 관점은 녹색당의 다수에 의해 공유되지 않는다. 녹색당은 정부의 범죄적인 잘못된 운영과 금권정치의 권한 이양에 침묵을 지키면서, 더 높은 임금과 만인을 위한 의료보험, 그리고 소수자들의 권리 보장을 향해 민주당이 제시한 길을 따르는 더 안전하고 덜 야심찬 접근법을 택하기로 결심한 것 같다.

녹색당 기득권층은 1960년대 암살들, 무역센터와 국방부에 대한 9·11 테러, 사스 코브2 바이러스, 봉쇄, 백신, 반대 의사를 따르지 않은 의사들에 대한 박해 등을 도입한 연방 코로나 프로그램에 대해 깊은 국가 기밀을 파헤치는 데 주저하는 것으로 보인다.

사실상 웨스트의 캠페인은 스타벅스의 진보적 캠페인인 “생각은 좌파처럼, 삶은 우파처럼”의 제한된 집합소이다. 대조적으로 페스트라이쉬에 대한 두 가지 중요한 정치적 지지는 9.11 진실 운동의 지도자인 리차드 게이지(Richard Gage)와 글로벌 리서치의 편집자인 미셸 초수도프스(Michel Chossudovsky)키로부터 나왔다.

페스트라이쉬의 발표 이틀 후, 로버트 F. 케네디(Robert F. Kennedy)는 무소속 출마 가능성을 시사하는 성명을 발표했고 민주당의 억압적인 구조를 공개적으로 비판했다. 그로부터 일주일 후 10월 5일, 녹색당 후보로 유력시되던 코넬 웨스트도 무소속으로 출마하기 위해 당을 떠났다.

결국 녹색당 지도부는 코넬 웨스트와 같은 기존 인물에 만족하며 자신들의 안전지대를 벗어나도록 도전하지 않았고 웨스트는 역경에 부딪히자 녹색당을 버렸다.

페스트라이쉬는 “저는  녹색자유블록(Green Liberty Bloc)과 협력하여 지역사회를 육성하고 ‘악을 두려워하지 말라(“Fear No Evil”)’ 운동을 지원할 녹색자유당 정치자금(Green Liberty PAC)을 설립하기 위해 일하고 있습니다. 돈을 쫓는 어떤 캠페인도 목을 베는 것입니다. 물론, 우리가 시작하기 위해서는 약간의 돈이 필요하지만, 우리는 도덕적인 헌신으로 승리할 것이고, 그것을 바탕으로 돈을 모을 것입니다.”라고 앞으로의 계획에 대해 말했다.

그는 “우리의 선거운동을 도와준 몇몇 사람들은 가진 것이 아무것도 없었지만, 진실을 밝히기 위해 기꺼이 열심히 노력했습니다. 그들의 시간과 에너지를 나누는 자발적인 활동가들은 그들의 의식을 진정시키기 위해 5,000 달러를 기부할 수는 있지만,  진실과 정의에는 관심이 없는  변호사들보다 우리에게 훨씬 더 가치가 있습니다.”라고 덧붙였다.

페스트라이쉬는 녹색당이 2026년과 2028년 선거 시즌을 앞두고 정치적 진실과 정의에 대한 일반 시민의 요구를 실천하는 운동을 구축할 수 있도록 향후 정치 활동을 구성하는 전국적인 정치 프로젝트로 성장하도록 돕고 싶어한다.

페스트라이쉬는 “의견이 형성되는 수단을 통제하지 못한다면, 다국적 기업의 생산과 유통 통제, 글로벌 금융의 화폐와 신용 지배에 도전할 수 없습니다. 민간 보안업체와 정보업체, 군 건설업체와 정치 컨설턴트 등으로부터 안전 정책의 통제권을 되찾을 기관을 만들지 못하면 대통령 집무실에 들어가는 것은 감옥에 들어가는 것과 같다”며 “선거 정치가 변화를 가져오려면 우리가  먼저 달성할 수 있는 선거 결과를 뒷받침할 실질적인 움직임이 필요합니다”라고 말했다

그는 또 “여론 형성에 대한 통제권을 되찾고, 다국적 기업의 생산과 유통 통제, 글로벌 금융의 화폐와 신용 지배에 도전하지 못한다면, 민간 보안 회사와 정보 회사, 군사 계약자, 정치 컨설턴트로부터 ‘안전’ 정책의 통제권을 되찾아오는 제도를 만들지 못한다면, 대통령 집무실에 들어가는 것은 감옥에 들어가는 것과 마찬가지가 될 것이라고 생각합니다”라며 “선거 정치가 변화를 가져오려면 우리가  먼저 달성할 수 있는 선거 결과를 뒷받침할 실질적인 움직임이 필요합니다”라고 강조했다

“Drafting a constitution for a Unified Korea”

A successful unification of the Korean Peninsula must be based on a vision for the nation rooted in both universal values and the distinct traditions of the Korean people.

If the establishment of a unified Korea as a constitutional republic is to follow the model offered by the United States, the critical step would be the drafting of a constitution that lays out the contours for that new nation’s government and the principles undergirding it.

That means selecting the best practices and policies, and the most relevant to the needs of the current age, from models for good governance found in the collective wisdom of mankind, and doing so in a manner that is inspiring for the Korean people, and that serves as a model for the nations of the world.

In this respect, the Korean dream advanced by Dr. Hyunjin Preston Moon, a visionary plan for a new nation on the peninsula that brings together the best of West and East, will inspire the drafting of this constitution.

The constitution for a unified Korea will serve as the foundation for the republic, describing concretely the institutional structures and the principles of governance that govern them, thereby establishing a common understanding of the legal process to be followed going forward, while setting limits on the authority of each branch of government that will be essential for stability over the long term.

The constitution should assure a process for understanding the needs of society, the principles of morality and the best way to implement those solutions in policy, while guarding against creeping tyranny by assuring a logical separation of powers.

The United States Constitution is a blending of varied strands of political philosophy. We can observe in the Constitution institutional precedents taken from Greece and Rome, but also from medieval and enlightenment governance in England, France and Germany. A trained eye can detect bits of the Iroquois Great Law, and even of Confucian practice as it was introduced into the Enlightenment debate in Europe on governance.

The constitution of a united Korea should also be a creative work with roots deep in our common past, a text that appeals to universal human values and morals, and that sends out sparks of inspiration to all Koreans, and to all the world, as did the American constitution in 1787.

The intellectual dynamic animating the American Constitution is powered by the synthesis of the political philosophy of the ancient Greeks and Romans with practical precedents in later history for deliberative democracy such as the Magna Carta of 1215, or the Roundheads’ defense of the democratic Parliament in seventeenth-century England.

We can imagine a constitution for a unified Korea that will derive its power from a further synthesis, this time between the tradition of the constitutional republic without a monarch that is put forth in the U.S. Constitution, Korea’s own traditions of good governance and ethical behavior, and the larger mansions of moral philosophy in East Asia, mainly those of Confucianism and Buddhism.

A Korean Constitutional Convention

All of the models for good governance in the Western and Eastern traditions will not mean much if Koreans are not able to hold a constitutional convention in which the greatest ethical and intellectual minds of the age come together for an open debate dedicated to addressing the spiritual and material needs of the people, not personal gain, and if the consensus of those great minds is not written up in powerful and clear language that can inspire citizens for the ages.

The constitution produced by the constitutional convention for a united Korea must have cultural depth and moral power on both the Western and Eastern sides so that it will be accepted by Koreans of the North and the South (and around the world) assuasive, authoritative and universal.

First, we need individuals who are morally upstanding, intellectually informed, dedicated to the public good, and who have a keen sense of their role in long arc of history. That moral stature must be accompanied with an openness to new potentials and eternal creativity.

They need not, should not, be individuals with identical concepts of what government should be. The convention should be a symphony in which different themes and melodies are blended together in the give and take, the debate, and the resulting harmony produced in debates, for example between those favoring a strong central government and those opposed, between those favoring individual rights and those favoring the common good, serves to create a balanced conception of the whole that will rise above the capacity of any one author.

We know that in the American case those at the convention, James Madison, George Mason, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams (by correspondence), and Alexander Hamilton, articulated profoundly different perspectives on how government could realize the potential of humanity.

The Constitutional Convention went on in Philadelphia from May 25 to Sept. 17 of 1787, bringing together a group of visionary political figures who were devoted to an honest debate on the strengths and weaknesses of previous traditions of governance. It took months of concentrated debate, draft after draft, to come up with a vision for how the United States of America would be governed in a democratic, transparent, and accountable manner so as to represent the needs of the people and to protect the rights of the minority and to express that vision in a manner that was accessible to citizens.

In the Korean case, it should be a select group of committed Koreans, from North and South Korea, and from the Korean diaspora, who are ready to devote themselves to the drafting of this constitution based on ideals and profound contemplation of the needs of the people, a group that includes people with different perspectives on governance who are capable of creative dialog and compromise.

The constitution will be accepted by the people, not on the basis of how famous its drafters are, or how much money and coverage in the media they receive, but rather on the basis of their vision of what humanity is capable of, and how they express that potential in an inspiring manner.

It is essential that the planners of the convention make room for the organic meetings of minds, take the time to read through classic books on governance and to discuss them in an unpressured environment, while at the same time avoiding imposing on the natural process by which the constitution takes form and is then drafted.

9月3日、ある動画がYouTubeにアップされ、話題となっている。映画プロデューサーの小路谷秀樹氏が制作している番組で、エマニュエル・パストリッチ氏という人物が登場し、2024年の次期米大統領選にアメリカ緑の党の公認候補の一人として出馬を宣言した動画である。

　プロフィールによると、パストリッチ氏は米イェール大学卒業後、東京大学大学院に留学し、帰国後にハーバード大学で日中韓の文学に関する研究に携わり博士号を取得。その後イリノイ大学とジョージワシントン大学で教授を務めた人物だ。現在はイェール大学客員研究員を務めている。韓国でも教授生活に携わり、今年から活動拠点を日本に移した。 　なぜこの動画が話題になったかと言えば、パストリッチ氏は大統領選への出馬を表明しているだけでなく、戦時中の広島・長崎への原爆投下と日本の都市への空襲について、謝罪しているからだ。彼は動画の中でこう述べている。 〈（日本に）勝利したアメリカ合衆国は、永遠の戦争への道に乗り出しました。朝鮮、ベトナム、イラン・イラク、アフガニスタン、シリア、そして今のウクライナまでも、必要のない戦争をずっと繰り返してきました。戦時中のマンハッタン計画で、核兵器を開発したことからその伝統は始まりました。今も国防総省は、ロシアと中国との全面核戦争の準備をしています〉 〈広島と長崎への原爆投下は、必要のない実験的で残酷な犯罪でした。核攻撃だけでなく、アメリカは戦争の後半の3年半に、2000回以上空爆をしました。日本の木造家屋を目標として開発したナパーム弾（焼夷弾）を2040万発使い、300万人以上の日本人が殺されました。日本の皆様、誠に申し訳ございませんでした。アメリカ人、アメリカ政府はその犯罪を認めるべきです〉 　アメリカは原爆投下と都市空襲を謝罪し、反省しなければ、「永遠の戦争の道」から逃れられないと主張し、大統領選の公約として、戦時中の核兵器やナパーム弾などの武器開発に関する資料の公開と、占領期にアメリカの情報機関と企業が日本の文化に干渉した証拠となる文書の公開を掲げている。

これまでアメリカは、「戦争を早期に終結させるため」「アメリカ人兵士の命を守るため」といった理由を掲げて、原爆投下や都市空襲を正当化してきた。しかし、数百万人にも及ぶ無辜の人々の命を奪ったのは、まぎれもない事実であり、その事実に向き合うことで、アメリカは変わるとパストリッチ氏は主張する。 　大統領選候補といっても、共和党と民主党が戦うアメリカの大統領選において、パストリッチ氏が大統領になる確率は限りなくゼロに近い。しかし、だからといって、何の影響もないとは言い切れない。 　アメリカ緑の党は、党名から連想されるように環境政策を重視するリベラル寄りの政党で、国会議員は1人もいないものの、大統領選にはこれまで何度も公認候補を出馬させている。2000年に共和党のブッシュと民主党のゴアが戦った選挙では、アメリカ緑の党はラルフ・ネーダーを公認し、得票率は2.7％だったものの、ブッシュとゴアの得票が極めて僅差だったため、もしネーダーが出馬しなければ、その票がゴアに流れ、結果は逆転していたのではないかと取り沙汰された。つまり、自ら当選する目はなくても、選挙の趨勢を左右する存在になる可能性はある。 　2016年5月27日、アメリカのオバマ大統領（当時）は、歴代大統領としては初めて広島を訪れ、原爆死没者慰霊碑に献花した。今年5月19日には、広島サミットのために訪日したG7各国の首脳が原爆資料館を訪れ、その中にはバイデン大統領の姿もあった。 　何がどう転ぶかは予測がつかないが、少なくとも民主党支持者には、パストリッチ氏の主張が届きやすくなっていると考えられる。戦争が終わって80年余りが経てば、原爆投下や空襲の直接的な関係者はほとんどが鬼籍に入っている。謝罪できる環境は整いつつあり、もし実現すれば、日本とアメリカの関係は新たな段階に進めるのではないか。

성공적인 한반도 통일은 보편적 가치와 한국인의 고유한 전통에 뿌리를 둔 국가 비전에 기초해야 한다. 입헌공화국으로서 통일한국을 수립하는 것이 미국의 모델을 따르는 것이라면, ‘통일선언문'(‘독립선언서’와 같은) 이후의 단계는 새로운 국가의 정부 윤곽과 이를 뒷받침하는 원칙과 같은 내용을 담은 헌법 초안을 작성하는 것이 될 것이다.

이것은 인류의 집단적 지혜 속에서 발견된 좋은 통치를 위한 모범 사례와 정책, 그리고 현 시대의 요구와 가장 관련성이 높은 것을 한국 국민에게 영감을 주는 방식으로 선택하고 그것이 세계 국가들의 모범이 되는 방식을 의미한다.

통일한국을 위한 헌법은 공화국의 근간이 되며 통치의 제도적 구조와 원칙을 구체적으로 기술함으로써 앞으로 나아갈 법적 절차에 대한 공동의 이해를 확립함과 동시에 장기적으로 안정을 위해 필수적인 정부 각 부처의 권한을 제한하는 역할을 할 것이다.

헌법은 사회의 요구와 도덕성 원칙을 이해하는 과정과 그러한 해결책을 정책적으로 실행하는 최선의 방법을 보장하고, 논리적인 권력 분립을 보장함으로써 발생할 수 있는 폭정을 예방한다.

본보기로 삼을만한 미국 헌법의 매우 가치있는 부분은 시민의 자유와 자유가 관료제나 특권에 의해 침해되지 않도록 보장하기 위해 시민의 권리를 명시하고 있는 권리 장전(the Bill of Rights)이다.

미국 헌법은 다양한 정치철학의 혼합물이다. 그리스와 로마는 물론 영국, 프랑스, 독일의 중세와 계몽주의 통치에서 나온 헌법 제도적 선례들을 볼 수 있다. 숙련된 눈을 가진 사람이면 이로쿼이 대법(Iroquois Great Law)의 일부를 볼 수 있고, 유럽의 통치에 관한 계몽주의 논쟁에 도입된 유교적 관습까지도 파악할 수 있다.

또한 1787년 미국 헌법이 그랬듯이 통일한국의 헌법은 우리의 공동의 과거에 깊이 뿌리를 둔 창조적인 작품이어야 하며, 인류의 보편적 가치와 도덕에 호소하고 모든 한국인과 전 세계에 영감의 불꽃을 뿜어내는 텍스트가 되어야 한다.

미국 헌법에 활력을 불어넣는 지적 역동성은 고대 그리스•로마의 정치철학과 1215년 대헌장(Magna Carta), 17세기 민주적 의회에 대한 라운드헤드의 방어와 같은 숙의민주주의(deliberative democracy)를 위한 후기 역사에 담겨진 실제적인 선례의 종합에서 힘을 얻는다.

우리는 미국 헌법에 명시된 군주없는 입헌공화국 전통과 한국 고유의 올바른 통치 전통과 윤리적 행동, 주로 유교와 불교를 중심으로 한 동아시아의 광범한 도덕철학의 영역 사이에서 더 많은 종합을 통해 그 힘을 이끌어내는 통일한국을 위한 헌법을 상상할 수 있다. 한국과 동양의 정치철학은 서구의 헌법적 전통을 보완하면서 공백을 메우고 사각지대를 밝혀줄 것이다.

통일한국 헌법에 대한 한국의 고유한 기여

헌법은 한국인이 초안을 작성했다는 점과 한반도에서의 오랜 도덕적 통치의 전통, 즉 장기적 관점에서 국정을 다루고, 개인의 도덕적 양심에 대한 인본주의적 개념, 개인의 입장에서 조화로운 가정의 일부로서 그 힘을 끌어내는 양심, 그리고 가정은 자연스럽게 그 영향력을 국가와 영역으로 확장하는 측면에서 한국적이어야 한다.

특히 한국의 ‘홍익’ 개념은 헌법적 통치의 발전에 대한 한국 고유의 기여에서 핵심이 되어야 한다. ‘홍익’은 한국 고대부터 사회 구성원 모두가 이익을 공유한다는 이상으로, 정의롭고 공평한 사회 질서를 요구한다는 점에서 인류 문명에 고유한 공헌을 해왔으며, 그러한 정의와 공평은 신성한 영적 깨달음을 전제로 한다. 따라서 사회적 평등은 물질주의를 수용하고 인간 경험의 모든 영적 측면을 거부해야 한다고 가정하는 서구 이데올로기와 현저한 대조를 이룬다.

또한 고려와 조선 및 그 이전의 행정 구조에서 좋은 통치를 찾아볼 수 있는 선례가 있는데, 이것은 새로운 헌법에서 지금의 요구를 충족시키기 위해 재해석할 수 있는 커다란 기회를 제공한다.

한 가지 예를 들자면, 조선은 14세기 건국 당시 역사기록관청(춘추관)을 설립했는데, 이 기관은 사관들이 운영하는 관청으로 상당한 권한과 면책권을 부여받았는데 조정의 활동을 정확하게 기록하기 위한 것이었다. 사관들이 왕과 고관들의 부정부패가 폭로되어 불쾌해도 정확한 사관 기록은 계속되었다. 춘추관은 모든 압력에도 불구하고 정확한 기록이 유지되어 누구도 도덕적으로 권한을 넘어서지 않고 미래 세대를 위해 진정한 역사가 보존되도록 하는 데 중요한 역할을 했다.

이러한 시스템은 통일한국 헌법이 정보화 시대에 매우 중요한 문제인 정보의 정확성을 어떻게 보장하는지에 대한 모델이 될 수 있는데 이것은 미국 건국의 아버지들이 간과한 문제이기도 하다.

또한 동양 문명의 커다란 영역은 이 헌법을 인류 역사의 새로운 단계로 끌어올릴 고유의 기여를 제공할 것이다. 도교와 같은 다른 전통들도 고려할만한 가치가 있지만 유교와 불교의 전통은 더 많은 것을 제공한다.

조선의 중심철학인 유교는 통치의 기본 단위로서 가족을 매우 강조하는데, 건강하고 기능적인 가족 구조와 윤리적인 통치 행정 간의 연속성을 강조한다.

더욱이 유교는 윤리적인 사회를 보장하는 것은 단지 법이 아니라 실천과 일상의 의례라고 강조한다. 실천 또는 예(禮)에 대한 강조는 한국에서 예와 행동에 대한 학문인 “예학”으로 잘 알려져 있다. 예학은 아이들을 키우는 방식, 행동을 존중하는 방식, 친구와 이웃에 대해 공감하는 방식을 건강한 사회의 기본으로 다루며 이것은 새로운 입헌 통치 방식을 제시한다. 미국 헌법이 가정의 도덕성이나 일상생활에서의 예절과 윤리적 실천에 대해 침묵하고 있지만, 유교 전통은 새로운 한국 헌법에 많은 것을 제공한다.

유교는 또한 이익이 주요 관심사가 아니라 더 큰 좋은 것을 위한 상호 지원이 경제 활동의 주요 규칙이 되는 도덕적 경제를 요구한다. 유교 경제는 수 백년을 미래로 확장하는 정치경제 계획과 환경을 고려하는 정치경제 계획, 사회 구성원 모두의 공통 관심사로 생각하는 식량의 유기적 식량 생산 등 장기적인 관점에서 구상한다. 이러한 장기적인 건강과 사회 및 환경의 지속가능성에 대한 관심은 미국 헌법에도 빠져 있다. 따라서 유교 전통으로 전환하는 것은 한국이 입헌공화국을 다음 녹색 단계로 도약시키는 데 엄청난 도움이 될 수 있다.

마지막으로 유교는 현자에 의한 통치, 즉 “누크라시(noocracy)”에 관심을 가지고 있으며 보편적 가치에 대한 도덕적 헌신과 통치에서 윤리적인 방법으로 현실 문제를 해결하는 능력을 평가하기 위해 고안된 테스트를 통해 정부에서 일하는 사람들을 선택하는 구체적인 프로그램을 제안한다. 과거시험은 19세기 한국과 중국에 뿌리내린 깊은 부패로 인해 제국 말기에는 조롱의 대상이 되었지만, 윤리에 입각한 공직자 시험제도의 기본 개념은 매우 귀중하고 명백하며, 이것은 미국 헌법의 분명한 공백이기도 하다.

시민들이 지도자를 선출하는 민주적 과정은 정부에서 일하는 사람들이 보편적 가치를 지니고 부패할 가능성이 적으며 진실을 아는 데 더 헌신하도록 보장하는 도덕 원칙에 기반한 시험 시스템과 병행되어야 한다. 결코 민주적 수단만으로는 결정될 수 없기도 하다.

불교는 또한 한국의 새로운 헌법에 많은 것을 제공한다. 중도를 위한 불교의 도덕적 명령은 균형있는 정부 권력을 위해 보다 정제된 전략으로 통합될 수 있는 정치의 극단주의와 분열을 피하기 위한 구체적인 전략을 제공한다.

더욱이 불교는 정부 내, 그리고 (외교를 통해) 국가 간 화합을 촉진하는 오랜 전통을 가지고 있으며, 이는 고려의 통치 체제에서 구체적인 사례를 볼 수 있다. 정치에서 갈등과 분열을 피하기 위한 이러한 불교적 전략은 배타적인 재산권에 기초한 법에서 나올 수 있는 이기심, 경쟁, 편협함이 아니라 화합과 협력을 도모하는 사회를 만드는 데 큰 잠재력을 제공한다.

한국 제헌의회

서양과 동양 전통의 좋은 통치를 위한 모든 모델은 한국인이 시대의 가장 위대한 윤리적, 지적 정신이 함께 모여 개인의 이익이 아닌 국민의 영적•물질적 필요에 대해 공개 토론을 하는 제헌의회를 개최할 수 없다면 큰 의미가 없을 것이다. 그리고 그 위대한 마음들의 합의가 오랜 세월 동안 시민들에게 영감을 줄 수 있는 강력하고 명확한 언어로 기록되지 않는다면 역시 마찬가지일 것이다.

통일한국을 위한 통일제헌의회에서 제정된 헌법은 동서양을 포괄하는 문화적 깊이와 도덕적 힘을 가지고 있어야 설득력과 권리, 그리고 보편적인 것으로서 남과 북(그리고 세계)의 한국인들이 받아들일 수 있을 것이다.

통일한국을 위한 헌법 초안을 작성하기 위한 통일제헌의회를 구상할 때 한국인들이 따라야 할 몇 가지 기본 규칙이 있다.

우선 우리는 도덕적으로 정직하고, 지적으로 유익하고, 공익을 위해 헌신하고, 오랜 역사 속에서 자신의 역할을 예리하게 인식하는 개인이 요구된다. 그러한 도덕적 수준에는 새로운 잠재력과 영원한 창의성에 대한 개방성이 동반되어야 한다.

이 과정에서 남북한, 디아스포라 한국인 그룹을 선발하는 것이 아마도 가장 중요한 부분일 것이다.

그들은 정부가 어떠해야 하는지에 대한 동일한 개념을 가진 개인일 필요도 없고, 그래서도 안된다. 통일제헌의회는 서로 다른 주제와 선율들을 주고받기, 토론, 그리고 토론을 통해 만들어지는 조화, 예를 들어 강력한 중앙 정부를 선호하는 쪽과 반대하는 쪽, 개인의 권리를 선호하는 쪽과 공익을 선호하는 쪽이 함께 혼합되는 교향곡이어야 한다. 이것은 어떤 한 주창자의 능력을 뛰어넘는 전체의 균형된 개념을 만드는데 도움이 된다.

미국의 경우 회의에 참석한 제임스 매디슨, 조지 메이슨, 벤자민 프랭클린, 존 아담스(서신을 통해), 알렉산더 해밀턴이 정부가 인류의 잠재력을 실현할 수 있는 방법에 대해 근본적으로 다른 관점을 표현했다는 것을 알고 있다. 그 회의의 창조적인 시너지 효과와 논쟁적인 타협은 제임스 매디슨의 시대적으로 필요한 절묘한 텍스트로 구성되었다. 이 텍스트는 간결하면서도 모호하지 않고, 정부의 본질과 정부의 한계, 그리고 정부의 권위와 시민의 권리에 대해 최소한의 단어로 분명하게 밝히고 있다.

한국은 최소한 잘 정리된 헌법 제정 계획을 세워야 하며, 남북한의 언어 차이를 시적인 방식(a poetic manner)으로 결합하고 지양하는 새로운 언어의 모델을 세울 수 있다.

미국 건국 제헌회의는 1787년 5월 25일부터 9월 17일까지 필라델피아에서 열렸으며, 이전의 통치 전통의 강점과 약점에 대한 정직한 토론에 헌신한 선구적인 정치인 그룹이 모였다. 국민의 요구를 대표하고 권리를 보호하기 위해 미국이 어떻게 민주적이고 투명하며 책임 있는 방식으로 통치될 것인지에 대한 비전을 마련하기 위해 초안을 하나씩 작성하는 데 수개월에 걸쳐 집중적인 토론이 필요했다. 시민에게 접근할 수 있는 방식으로 비전을 표현하기 위해서였다.

한국의 경우, 이상과 요구에 대한 깊은 숙의를 바탕으로 이 헌법 초안 작성에 헌신할 준비가 되어 있는 남북한, 디아스포라 출신의 헌신적인 한국인들로 구성된 선별된 그룹이어야 한다. 이 그룹은 다양한 관점을 가지고 창의적인 대화와 타협이 가능한 사람들을 포함한다.

헌법은 그 초안 작성자가 얼마나 유명한지, 얼마나 돈을 많이 벌고 언론에서 다루는지가 아니라 인류가 무엇을 할 수 있는지, 어떻게 감동적인 방식으로 잠재력을 표현하는지에 대한 자신들의 비전을 바탕으로 할 때 국민이 받아들일 것이다.

통일은 강한 도덕적 헌신뿐만 아니라 다른 사람들과 소통하고 부분보다 더 큰 유기적 과정의 일부로서 어떤 것을 창조하려는 의지에 의해 결정될 것이다.

헌법 초안 작성자가 만나는 환경도 결정적일 것이다. 참석자들이 한국의 잠재력에 대해 깊이 생각하도록 영감을 주는 한국의 문화유산에 대한 힌트와 함께 평화롭고 품위있는 환경이어야 한다.

그들에게 소그룹으로 모이고 혼자 있을 수 있는 시간, 좋은 정부와 도덕철학에 관한 다양한 언어로 된 다양한 책을 읽고 묵상할 수 있는 시간이 주어져야 한다. 숲 속을 산책하든, 산속의 개울을 따라 걷든 제헌의회에 참석한 사람들 간의 우연한 만남은 역사, 정책 및 우리 고유의 역사적 순간에 대한 깊은 통찰력을 얻을 수 있는 기회가 될 수 있다.

제헌의회 기획자들은 이러한 유기적인 마음의 모임을 위한 공간을 마련하고, 시간을 내어 통치에 관한 고전 서적을 읽고 압박을 받지 않는 환경에서 토론하는 동시에 헌법이 구성되고 초안이 작성되는 자연적 과정을 강요하는 것은 반드시 피해야 한다.

마지막 단계는, 다른 글에서 자세히 설명했지만, 헌법 초안이 문화를 변형시키는 방식으로 한국인에게 제시되는 동시에 시민들이 국가의 새로운 잠재력과 자신들에 대해 눈을 뜨는 과정이다.

“비전 있는 ‘통일 선언문’으로 통일 한국 이룩하기”

지난 25년 동안 정치인 고위급 회담, 개성공단 공장 건설, 아시아 횡단 가스관 계획 등을 통해 남북한 관계를 정상화하기 위한 노력은 수포가 되었다.

남북한 간 긴장은 더욱 고조되었고, 한국 정치 세력들의 이념 대립은 더욱 심해지고 있으며, 미국, 일본, 러시아, 중국 등 6자 회담의 다른 구성원들은 더 만날 수 없게 되었다.

비극적이게도 한국 정치인들은 북한 지도자들과 사진 촬영, 북한 내 제조업 증가, 평양 젊은이들에게 K팝스타(K-POP STAR)들을 홍보하는 것이 어떻게든 한국인의 통일을 견인할 마법의 엔진이 될 것으로 생각했다. 돈을 벌 수 있는 몇 가지 기회를 제공하는 것만으로는 새로운 국가를 만들기에 충분하지 않았다.

역사는 한 민족의 성공적 통일은 자유와 진리에 대한 보편적 열망에 호소하며, 감동적인 사상이 담겨있는 고대 도덕 철학 전통에 깊이 뿌리를 내려야 가능하다는 고무적인 비전에서 비롯됨을 보여준다. 

즉, 성공적인 통일로 이어지는 과정은 단순히 상품을 소비하고 다국적 은행에 돈을 쌓는 것이 아니라, 모든 한국인의 문화적, 제도적 공통성을 인정하고 윤리적이고 영성적 원칙에 기초하여 미래에 대한 공동의 약속을 확인하는 깊이 있는 대화를 통해 한국인 스스로부터 시작될 수 있다.

미국, 일본, 중국, 러시아, 몽골은 통일을 촉진하는 지역을 위해 실질적인 평화체제 구축으로 이 과정을 지원할 수 있지만, 통일 자체에서 즉각적인 역할을 할 수는 없다.

미국의 경우 가장 큰 기여는 한국인에게 투명한 민주적 통치를 바탕으로 한 입헌 공화국을 수립한 미국인의 고유한 경험을 소개한 것일 것이다.

한국인들이 진정한 통일을 이룰 수 있도록 고무적인 방식으로 접근 방식을 전달하는 것은 한국의 미래 번영과 동북아의 자유롭고 평화로운 질서를 끌어내는 데 크게 이바지할 것이다.

미국은 영국 동인도 회사(British East India Company)와 런던에 본사를 둔 다른 기업들이 통제하는 식민지 그룹에서 독립선언서 선포, 헌법 초안 작성, 오늘날 13개 주에서 헌법을 비준할 수 있게 만든 연방주의자 문서(The Federalist Papers)로 알려진 일련의 논제들을 통한 헌법 가치에 대한 엄격하고 열정적인 토론 등 세 단계를 거쳐 입헌 공화국으로 변모했다. 

런던의 재정적 이해관계에 의해 통제되었던 식민지들이 미합중국으로 변모하는 과정은 소수의 헌신적인 대중 지식인들에 의해 주도되었는데, 이들 지식인은 서로 약간 다른 정치적 성향을 가지고 있었다. 이들 지식인 사이에서 국민과 국가 사이에 고무적이면서도 실용적이고 유연한 계약을 이루어냈다.

그 첫 단계는 한국식 독립선언서 초안, 더 정확하게 통일선언문 작성은 자유롭고 통일된 한국을 위해 요구되는 가장 시급한 조치이다.

이 통일선언문은 대한민국과 조선민주주의인민공화국 두 나라를 단순히 두 경제의 단순한 합보다 더 크고, 두 인구를 합친 것보다 더 고무적인 새로운 나라로 변화시킬 것이다.

미국 독립선언문은 1776년 7월 4일에 서명되어 대영제국으로부터 독립된 미국을 수립했다. 그러나 그 메시지에 담긴 제도적 조정보다 훨씬 더 나아갔다.

독립선언문에서 ”우리는 모든 사람이 평등하게 창조되었으며, 창조주로부터 양도할 수 없는 특정한 권리를 부여받았으며, 그 권리 중에는 생명, 자유, 행복 추구가 있다는 자명한 진리를 주장한다.”라고 선언했을 때 그것은 독립이 시민의 정치적 권리에서 비롯되었고 따라서 어떤 정부도 “피통치자들의 동의로부터 정의로운 힘”을 끌어내야 한다는 의미를 담고 있었다. 

미국 헌법은 군주제와 교회로부터 독립된 공화국 내에서 자유, 시민의 권리, 법치라는 기본 원칙에 기초한 새로운 형태의 통치를 위한 토대를 마련했다.

한국도 이러한 미국의 사례를 토대로 유사한 과정을 따를 수 있는데, 1776년 토머스 제퍼슨, 존 애덤스, 벤저민 프랭클린, 로버트 R. 리빙스턴, 로저 셔먼과 같은 영감을 받은 대중 지식인 집단을 모아 자유를 위해 헌신하는 통일 한국의 구조를 다듬고, 이 새로운 국가를 뒷받침할 가치와 원칙을 정의하는 강력한 통일선언문을 작성할 수 있다. 그것은 남북한 정부를 대체하여 통일 한반도를 위한 유엔의 원래 계획을 실현할 것이다.

이러한 통일선언문은 자신의 특수한 상황을 뛰어넘을 수 있는 선견지명이 있는 한국인 그룹에 의해 작성되어야 하며, 동서양 최고의 전통 철학을 활용하여 한국인뿐만 아니라 책임 있는 정부를 열망하는 세계인들에게 영감을 줄 비전을 제시해야 한다.

이 선언의 핵심에는 한국의 전통인 “홍익”(모든 사람이 혜택을 공유하는 것)이 자리 잡고 있어야 한다.

“통일”이라는 용어는 한반도의 정치•경제 체제를 조잡하게 통합하는 것 이상을 의미하며, 오히려 공동의 이익과 보편적 가치에 의해 작동하는 자유 사회 안에서 시민들이 새롭게 통합되는 것을 의미한다.

통일선언문은 관료주의적이 아닌 감동적이어야 하고, 현학적이고 낡은 표현이 아니며 단지 다가오는 지방선거만이 아니라 향후 천년을 위한 선언문이어야 한다. 이러한 시대적 의미가 담긴 문서의 초안은 한국 정치에 대혁명을 가져올 뿐 아니라 정치력 개념의 부활을 가져올 것이다.

이러한 통일선언문 초안 작성을 위한 준비는 한국인들이 무엇이 잘못되었는지에 대해 집중하기보다는 무엇이 가능한지에 대해 생각하고, 북한 노동자들과의 경쟁이나 위협을 두려워하기보다는 가능성을 상상하도록 이끄는 획기적인 변화가 될 것이다.

통일은 경영전문가 피터 드러커의 “문제를 해결하지 말고 기회를 추구하라”라는 조언을 따라야 합니다. 현대 사회의 끝없는 문제에 집착하면 그 문제는 더욱 확대될 수밖에 없지만, 새로운 국가를 만들기 위해 용감하게 기회를 잡으며 더 높은 단계로 올라선다면 그 계기는 자연스럽게 많은 사회적 병폐를 해결할 수 있을 것이다.

마지막으로, 새로운 국가를 건설하고, 헌법의 역할과 시민의 권리를 옹호하는 공화국의 가치를 회복하고 확인하려는 한국의 프로젝트는 일본과 중국, 나아가 미국까지 파급되어 시민을 거버넌스에 연결하는 연대의 활력으로 이어질 것이다.

이러한 과정은 민족자결의 가능성을 동양의 문화적 맥락에서 표현한 우드로 윌슨 미국 대통령의 『14개 조항』(1918년 1월 8일)에서 확인하고 이를 품격있게 담아낸 대한독립선언문(1919년 3월 1일)의 모델을 따를 것이다. 한국 독립운동은 불과 두 달 후 중국에서 일어난 5•4 운동에 영감을 주었고, 아시아 전역에서 시민들이 성취할 수 있는 모델로 인용되었다.

이번에도 통일 선언문으로 표현된 자유롭고 통일된 한국은 자유와 평화로운 세계의 본보기가 될 수 있다.

EMANUEL PASTREICH WITHDRAWS FROM CAMPAIGN FOR THE GREEN PARTY US NOMINATION

SEPTEMBER 28, 2023

After taking the initial steps required to formally seek the nomination for the presidency within the Green Party US, Emanuel Pastreich has decided to withdraw from the campaign effective immediately. He remains open, however, to future collaboration with the Green Party US, if there is interest.

Pastreich, and his acting manager Chuck Fall, determined, after repeated efforts, that there were insufficient opportunities to raise the necessary funding to run even a minimal campaign within the Green Party.

Pastreich plans rather to devote his efforts, working with the Green Party and other likeminded organizations, to building a nation-wide movement dedicated to uncovering the truth, and demanding immediate change, in response to how the US government has acted against the public interest, advancing policies that enriched corporations at the expense of civil liberties, injuring and killing citizens, destroying nature, and devastating the economy of the common man and women for the benefit of the rich and powerful.

Pastreich’s quest for the Green Party US nomination was always intended to be the vanguard of a movement to end the domination of our nation by bankers and private intelligence firms, to take radical action to stop the destruction of our environment and our climate, to question the need for narcissistic consumption, mindless industrialization, and dangerous overproduction.

He will continue to work with the new movement, tentatively called the “Fear No Evil” movement, to make public to the world the state crimes undertaken by the government, in collaboration with corporate interests (domestic and international), such as the 9.11 incident, the Federal Covid Response, the promotion of untested vaccines, and other suspicious incidents at home and abroad designed to create an atmosphere of fear and loathing.

Concerning the launch of this “Fear No Evil” movement, Pastreich declared, 

“The American republic and the constitutional rights of its citizens have been trampled on by the boot of private finance and beaten with the stick of corrupt politics. The resulting spiritual gangrene has spread through all institutions, reaching to the very marrow of our civilization.

The slaughter of deliberative democracy and the evisceration of scientific journalism are the handywork of a new plutocracy, self-crowned as our masters, who are busy doling out treasure to the intellectuals, scientists, and journalists who do their bidding.

I call on the Green Party to revive the tradition of progressive politics in the United States, to realize the full potential of our Constitution, and to pass on the torch of liberty and equality previously held up by John Adams, Frederick Douglass, and Susan B. Anthony, Eugene Debs, Henry Wallace, John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King.

I imagine, no I demand, a Green Party that will call out the big lies, fight for justice and transparency without exception, and give real opportunities to those who have been so long oppressed.

We need a Green Party that will take up the banner of truth and justice dropped in the mud during the horrific political killings of the 1960s. In other words, we need a Green Party that will win by standing for our moral principles, not by bending down to collect dark money.”

七八年前の一九四五年九月二日、東京湾に停泊したアメリカの軍艦ミズーリ号甲板上に於ける降伏文書署名を以て、当時の大東亜戦争、今日言う処の太平洋戦争そのものは終結したと言えます。

 その日、まずマッカーサー陸軍元帥によるスピーチの後、天皇陛下と大日本帝国政府の代理として、重光葵外務大臣が署名を行い、続いて日本軍の大本営の代表として梅津美治郎参謀総長が署名をしました。

 その当時、日本国民は雑草を食べて命をつないでいる有様でした。昼夜休み無く続いたアメリカによる空爆で家も焼き尽くされ、子供達の傷口もぼろ切れで覆うしか手立てはありませんでした。ともあれ、その様な過酷な状況の中、たいへんな痛みを伴う残酷な形ではありましたが、実質的な平和が日本に訪れたのでした。

 しかし、その日からアメリカは永遠の戦争に向かって出発したのです。同時に現在まで継続されている日本の被占領時代の始まりともなりました。

 アメリカが「戦争という悪霊」に取りつかれ、「勝利という甘美な呪い」をかけられた事で、アメリカはその後も朝鮮、ベトナム、イラン、イラクなどで、無差別な戦争を続ける事になりました。一連の戦争によってアメリカ人の魂はその奥深くまで、血塗られた悪霊の手先とされてしまったのです。合衆国憲法に明言された「国民の権利」は「消費者の快楽主義」へと堕落し、「自由」は「ナルシシズム」に置き換えられ、戦勝国であるアメリカは、破滅への道を歩み始めたのです。

 さて、親愛なる日本の皆様。私はアメリカ人で、日本文学の教授を務め、東アジア安全保障について長く研究したエマニュエル・パストリッチと申します。

日本降伏文書署名七八年目に当たって、アメリカ緑の党の大統領候補者出馬を準備している者として、どうしても皆様にお話ししたい事が有ります。

 二〇二〇年からのアメリカの絶望的な政治文化に鑑み、大統領候補者の準備を始めた頃、私は自分のキャンペーン・スローガンを “Make America Great for the First Time”、即ち「アメリカを初めて偉大な国にしよう。」としました。もしかしたら皆様はこれに似たスローガンを覚えておられるかもしれません。そうです。二〇一六年にトランプ大統領は候補者として “Make America Great Again” 即ち「アメリカを再び偉大な国にしよう。」というスローガンを挙げたのです。しかし日本人とアメリカ人が国内国外の深刻な混乱に直面している現状に於いては、そのような漠然としたノスタルジアに落ち込む暇もありません。昔のアメリカには確かに魅力的な部分が在ったかもしれませんが、決して偉大な国ではなかったのです。

 現在のアメリカは、秘密裏に国民を抹殺する計画を進展させながら、全世界核戦争を計画している国であり、絶対に偉大ではありません。

 私は日本人有志と手を組んで、アメリカの犯罪を認め、アメリカを改めて、アメリカを立て直します。日本の文化に深い感銘を受け、日本の知恵を生かして、アメリカを変えようと思います。

７８年前、日本がどういう国に降伏したのか、正しく認識する必要があります。

 現在、中国とロシアに対する核戦争を計画しているアメリカがどういう国であるか、それをまず明確に認識する必要があるのです。

 皆様と一緒に、わが国アメリカが、過去のみならず、現在もなお犯し続けている犯罪を認める事によって、初めて日本にもアメリカにも希望が生じます。

 トランプ大統領による「アメリカを再び偉大な国にしよう」というスローガンは、つまり「アメリカが世界最強の軍隊を持って、世界中に軍事基地を配備し、世界中で発生した殆どの戦争に介入し、世界の警察だと公言して、税金を核兵器に注ぎ込んでいた悪夢をもう一度蘇らせる事」です。私にはこれが、「偉大な事」とは到底思えません。

 【アメリカにとりついた悪霊の機密国防制度】

 日本を占領しているアメリカの主体とは、多数派である貧しいアメリカの労働者ではなく、国防総省と情報機関を中心とした影の機密国防制度なのです。民主主義を訴えながら、極端な機密手段で政治を遂行するアメリカの実態は、まさに広島長崎原爆投下を準備したマンハッタン計画に顕著に現れています。

 マンハッタン計画は、人類史上最も危険、且つ必要の無い核戦争を準備して、計画関係者以外に何の相談も無しに実行した犯罪計画でした。しかも、そのような事を実行しても、憲法、国民、良心に何の責任も発生しない行政システムは、現在もそのままアメリカの政府の中に残っており、それ故に、現在のロシアと中国に対する核戦争の本格的準備が進められているのです。

 現在も日本を占領している機密国防制度が、その真実を常に否定しています。

 最近の世界的大ヒット映画『オッペンハイマー』は、マンハッタン計画の中心人物であったオッペンハイマー博士を紹介するもので、奇妙な事に公開予定日を超えても、日本では上映されていません。その背景には間違いなく、法律を超える機密行政が在り、それが日本を牛耳っているのです。

 おそらく、その当時のアメリカの犯罪を暴く映画上映を阻む過程に、謎に包まれている日米合同委員会の働きが在ったでしょう。

 丸山眞男博士は戦前の日本政治を「無責任の体系」と表現しましたが、私は歴史を研究するにつれ、どうもその「無責任の体系」は東京にではなく、ワシントンにこそ在ったと確信しております。

 【原爆の犯罪】

 一九四五年八月六日の広島、九日の長崎への核攻撃はそれぞれウラン型、プルトニウム型の原爆の実験とデータ収集を目的としたものであり、当時、既にポツダム宣言受諾の方向に動いていた日本に対して戦略上必要な攻撃ではありませんでした。

 戦後もアメリカの軍事秘密主義は続いています。原爆投下後の一年間、日本から報告された放射線による病気やその他の症状を、アメリカ政府が陰謀論だとして一蹴したのも継続している軍事秘密主義故の事です。原爆が通常兵器とは異なるものである事をアメリカ政府が認めるまでには、アメリカ国内だけではなく世界中で多大な論争が在ったのです。

 アメリカの秘密戦争計画は、秘密の協定と条約、 違憲の状態でありながら、法律に守られ、世界の破滅を夢見るサイコパスの軍事専門勢力を生み出しました。

 アメリカは何千発もの核兵器を蓄え、戦略司令部には狂った連中が暗躍しています。その様な連中は、勝ち目の有る核戦争について公然と語り、全人類とは言わないまでも、ロシアと中国の両方に於いて数億人の罪無き市民を殺すであろう先制核戦争の具体的な計画を、今も練っているのです。

 日本人に対する二度に渡る核攻撃が、第二次世界大戦中のアメリカの唯一の犯罪ではありません。

 太平洋戦争に於いて、アメリカは約二千回にも及ぶ一般日本人（一般人?　一般市民？）

をも目標とした無差別爆撃を実行しました。僅か三年半の間に、アメリカが落としたナパーム弾はなんと約２０４０万発に及びます。ナパーム弾は軍事施設ではなく、木造で建てられた日本の民家を焼き尽くし、日本人を焼き殺す為に開発されました。

 特に一九四五年三月一〇日深夜に実行された東京大空襲は、民家が密集した人口密度の高い所を狙い、一夜にして被災者は約３０万人、死者は１１万5千人以上、負傷者は１５万人以上、損害家屋は８０万軒以上という大規模な民間人殺戮となりました。

 八月一五日に終戦した為に、次に日本の一般市民に対して使用しようと用意していたマスタード　ガス、ホスゲンなどの強力な毒ガス爆弾八万六千発と、炭疽菌を充満させた細菌兵器一〇〇万発は、幸いにも未使用に終わりました。

 僅か三年半の間に３００万人以上の日本人が殺されたのは事実です。

 しかし多くのアメリカ人は、広島と長崎の二度に渡る核攻撃は、日本人の命を救う為に必要だったと教えられ、信じています。そして、それ以外の日本人に対する虐殺も知りません。アメリカを建て替えるには、アメリカ人が日本で行った事を知る権利が有り、知る必要が有ると、私は強く考えるのです。

 アメリカには永遠の戦争という悪夢が、現在でも続いています。アメリカが劣化ウラン弾をイラク、アフガニスタン、ウクライナ、シリア、ハワイにばら撒いて、実際に核戦争を違う形で継続しています。

 同じくアメリカは子供達を騙す為に玩具に似せて作ったクラスター爆弾を、それらの国、その他の所にも、ばら撒いています。地雷と同様に今後、何十年間と続く悪夢を他国に植えているのです。

 戦争は悪霊のように、アメリカ人の魂に取り憑き、国の骨髄に浸み込んで精神的なガンとなって、アメリカの文化を快楽とナルシシズムを勧誘し、消費こそが人生の目的であるかの様に、アメリカの一部の権力者が、一般のアメリカ国民を操作してきました。

 その結果、くだらない表面的な興奮を重んじさせられ、その裏に残忍な搾取と支配の計画を立てられました。

 その結果、アメリカ人は文明、価値観、健全な社会を考える主体性が無くなり、人種、宗教、ジェンダーなどに関連したイデオロギーの問題を以って、深刻な衝突が加速しています。

 独立思考できない多くのアメリカ人が簡単に何者かに操られて、間違い無くアメリカ国内が重大な紛争に向かっています。

 アメリカ文化の影響下に置かれた日本にとって、アメリカ文化の退廃は直接に深い打撃を与えています。

 日本の古典文学を研究し、『源氏物語』、『方丈記』を読んで感銘を受け、徳川時代の伊藤仁斎と荻生徂徠の思想に習って、アメリカの新しい政治を実現しようとする者として、私は最近になって日本の文化が消えていく事に鑑み、たいへん遺憾の思いを抱きます。

 それは間違いなく日本に存在しているアメリカの腐った快楽中心の消費文化の影響です。

 まず、アメリカが一九四一年以降、独立精神を失って、密かに大英帝国と合併する事で、共和国ではなく全地球の帝国の様に振舞い始めた事に端を発します。

 その結果、アメリカ政府は事実上、日本を属国として扱ってきています。日本の文化を無視してアメリカに都合の良い様に勝手に憲法を作り変えさせた上に、アフリカ、アジア、アメリカの先住民を奴隷にして、その資源を吸い取って実現した寄生的な経済構造の結果として、西洋諸国が驚異的な経済発展を実現したにも関わらず、その事実を隠して、日本に新しい教育制度を導入させ、いつまでも素晴らしい西洋文明こそが、日本人が習うべき立派な模範だと讃えさせ続けています。

 加えて、アメリカの企業が映画とテレビ放送を通して、日本人の主体性を破壊するナルシシズム文化を戦略的に紹介し続けています。

 竹と木と石から作られた器を尊ぶ日本の伝統工芸文化を破壊し、プラスティック使い捨て道具に依存する消費社会を以て、多国籍大企業に日本の経済を任せたのは罪深い事でした。

 人情と自然と和を重んじる日本の哲学を軽視して、隣人を利用して短期的な利益を得ようとする経営学などを日本人に信じ込ませたのは罪深い事でした。

 現在の若い日本人が連続的で目まぐるしい刺激を与えるゲーム、YouTube、ポルノに慣れさせられて、集中不可能な心理状態になり、侘び、寂び、哀れを深く察する日本の物語、和歌、俳諧、日記文学を読めない、書けないという悲しい世の中に成り果てたのも、その背景にやはりお金を儲ける消費文化を紹介したアメリカ企業の罪が深いのです。

 誠心を以て絹や木綿を織り上げた日本の伝統衣装は、日本の気候に最も相応しいもので、孫子(まごこ)の代まで持ちましたが、その着物、浴衣、草履が消えてしまって、代わりにナイロンで作られて長持ちしない西洋風な洋服が人間らしくない大都会に溢れています。

風土に合って、風、水、土と木と呼吸する日本家屋が消えて、その代わりに冷血的なコンクリートの団地が、空爆よりも残酷に日本の街並みを壊してしまいました。

 栄養価に優れ美味しい日本料理も現在では非日常的なものとなり、アメリカ風にカロリー過多とガンになる添加物を混ぜた加工食品などファストフードが当たり前に一般的となって、もはや嘗ての優れた食文化は、単なる観光誘致の方法（手段？）になってしまいました。

 よく考えれば、過去、アメリカは自国の利益の為に、非常に暴力的な外交手段として日本の伝統文化を破壊しようとしてきました。

 それらを、隠さずに、しっかりと自覚し、悔い改めます。

 【大統領候補者としての謝罪、アメリカ合衆国としての懺悔】

 アメリカ文化の良い点を拡張しながら、その恥ずべき点を隠して、人を馬鹿にするナルシシズム消費文化を当然の様に紹介してきた背景には、やはり罪の継承が在ります。要するに、最初から北米大陸に自然と均衡をとった素晴らしい文化をもっていた原住民ネイティブ・アメリカンを皆殺しにして、物質開発を精神よりも重要視した白人の狂った文化があるのです。

 日本にもアジアにも同じ様な文化的暴力が為されました。

 もうこれ以上は、たくさんです。

 きちんとアメリカ人は自覚し、謝る事で懺悔、禊ぎを行われなければならない筈なのです。

 私のこの思いがアメリカ人に伝わり、悔い改め、懺悔し、その汚い歴史を明確に自覚し、罪を清める禊ぎを行なって初めて、そこから真の新しい「偉大な国アメリカ」への道が始まると確信しております。

 親愛なる日本の皆様、誠に申し訳ありませんでした。

「ごめんなさい。」

そしてこれから、悔い改めた新しいアメリカと、本当の親友となってください。

 【アメリカ合衆国の大統領としての約束】

 現在、緑の党で来年の米国大統領候補として指名が検討されている者として、私は一九四五年の二度に渡る核攻撃の犯罪性と残虐性、そして東京やその他の都市への一般市民を狙ったナパーム弾による絨毯爆撃について、加えて戦後の日本の国内政治と文化に対する干渉と攪乱について、全ての日本国民に対して、そして世界に対して、厳粛に誠意を持って心よりお詫び申し上げます。

 私は、こうした自らの邪悪な行為によって、アメリカが如何に変貌してきたか、そしてこうした行為に関する秘密の存在が、如何に説明責任を果たさない軍産複合体を育成する素地を作り上げたか、をアメリカ政府が正式に認めるように求めます。

 また一九四一年から一九四五年にかけて、アメリカ軍内部での機密行政と支配の拡大から生じたアメリカ政府の深刻な腐敗に立ち向かえる勇気が、アメリカ人に欠けていた事を、日本国民と世界に深くお詫びしたいと思います。恥の極まりでございます。

 しかも、私は大統領として、アメリカが核兵器を開発したマンハッタン計画や、日本への核攻撃を計画した陸軍航空部隊に関するあらゆる資料、戦後にもアメリカの情報機関と大企業が日本政治に干渉した作戦に関連した全ての資料の機密指定を解除して、全世界にお詫びしながら公開します。

 私は大統領として、アメリカが1970年の核不拡散条約に基づいて、核兵器を廃絶するという約束を厳守するように求めます。まず今後五年間でアメリカ国内の核兵器の数を五〇〇発以下に減らし、その上で、一〇年以内に完全に核兵器を廃絶します。我が国、アメリカ合衆国がその覚悟と約束を表明して初めて、世界の他の国々にも同じ事を求める正当性と道徳的な力が生まれるのです。

 オバマ政権、トランプ政権、バイデン政権の下で行われたアメリカの核戦力の「近代化」は、核不拡散条約（NPT）にあからさまに違反しており、米軍の戦略司令部にロシアや中国への先制核攻撃の選択肢を秘密裏に真剣に準備している事を止めるように命令します。

 本格的に全世界核戦争を準備して、日本を巻き込もうとしている限り、アメリカにはイランと北朝鮮などを批判する資格は全くありません。

 経済、政治、文化の崩壊に向かっているアメリカは今こそ真に日本の援助が必要です。その援助は金銭的な援助ではなく、「葉隠」などに表れた日本の素晴らしい文化に由来する勇気をもって、真実・平和・正義を求める伝統です。

 これからアメリカ人が謙虚な態度をもって、日本人から習って、東洋文明と西洋文明の接合によって初めて、アメリカと日本の間に平等でバランスの取れた、 透明性を持って、説明責任を果たせる関係が成り立ちます。

 そのため、アメリカがまず過去の犯罪をはっきり認めて、謝罪しなければなりません。
