Cynthia Mckinney showed leadership when she called for truth leaders in politics at 20th Anniversary address to 9/11 Lawyers’ committee

Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney launched what would become the Green Liberty Movement with her questioning of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld (March 10, 2005), one of the extremely rare efforts of a sitting government official to question the 9/11 incident.

She would go on to run for president as nominee of the Green Party US and to address the the 9/11 Lawyers’ Committee on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 incident, an address in which she called for true leadership and a dedication to truth politics.

Dr. McKinney’s vision for profound change in politics suggests that the leadership must come from the truth movement because “truthers’ understand the problem with our government and are willing to address the real issues that others foolishly ignore.

She lays out a very succinct explanation for why the truth community is the logical source for leadership (using ‘complexity leadership theory) to push the change that is necessary.

In the video, McKinney highlights 4 intellectuals that influenced her thinking. One of them, Lance DeHaven-Smith, coined the phrase: ‘state crimes against democracy.’ But from the four she weaves a coherent argument for taking back the state by promoting leadership from the Truth Movement and leveraging that talent.
