Of course it is a strategy of sorts to simply pretend that you have no idea what the risk of nuclear war is, or what the catastrophe of climate change is that awaits us. It is easy enough to be in denial. And we can understand those who do so. But if you have received a good education, if you have some economic means, if you do not have to work all day long at a fast food restaurant to survive, then such behavior is simply inexcusable.
