{"id":2885,"date":"2012-10-21T01:13:16","date_gmt":"2012-10-21T01:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/green-liberty.org\/circlesandsquares\/?p=2885"},"modified":"2012-10-21T01:13:16","modified_gmt":"2012-10-21T01:13:16","slug":"occupy-seoul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/green-liberty.org\/circlesandsquares\/2012\/10\/21\/occupy-seoul\/","title":{"rendered":"Occupy Seoul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is fascinating to see that the term &#8220;Occupy Seoul&#8221; which is associated with protest movements around the world, has been adopted by the City of Seoul as part of its regular administrative policy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2886\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2886\" style=\"width: 290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/green-liberty.org\/circlesandsquares\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/occupy-seoul-4469.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2886\" title=\"occupy SEoul 4469\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/green-liberty.org\/circlesandsquares\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/occupy-seoul-4469.jpg?w=300\" height=\"200\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2886\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&#8220;Occupy Seoul&#8221; refers to a &#8220;policy expo for a &#8216;Seoul of Hope'&#8221; held October 13-14, 2012.<br \/>The event is billed as a &#8220;gathering for participation in policy&#8221; or &#8220;Seminar on City Goverment Policy&#8221;<br \/>Suggesting that citizens will be able to participate in the policy debate and provide their opinions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The process for the discussion is described <a href=\"http:\/\/ideaexpo.seoul.go.kr\/%EC%A0%95%EC%B1%85%EB%B0%95%EB%9E%8C%ED%9A%8C-%EC%95%88%EB%82%B4\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As I did not attend the event, I cannot describe its content or assess the significance of the approach.
